August?!
Managed to avoid blogging for about 1 month and nothing much really happened... #nolife
In July:
In July:
- Both my brothers are finally in the army so I'm basically living the "only-child" life right now.
- My diet plans are failing badly because I just lost the motivation to.
- My fanfiction is still stuck with that stubborn one last chapter before it ends (I'm a bad author I admit).
- Had a change of hairstyle, was completely sick and tired of my long hair so I decided to chop them off, and also due to that never-ending hair loss which scarred me terribly, after witnessing that bald patch of mine getting bigger #baldy.
- Cleared my terribly messy area in the room (took me ONE WHOLE DAY). #SUPERTIRED
- Officially waved goodbye to all those K-pop news and all, finally came to a point where my K-pop obsession ends. (Maybe it's due to O's or maybe not, maybe I will continue the obsession after my O's or maybe not, I really don't know, let's see how it goes.)
- Though that K-pop obsession has ended but, found my new love in OLD, MANDARIN songs. THEY ARE ALL SO GOOD.
- This didn't really happen in July but I'm gonna say it anyway (It started at the end of June), my newest eye candy is our national swimmer. OMG. We have a lot of national swimmers representing our country, so I guess you can take your time to figure it out who he/she is. (Figure out the gender first.) #HOT #SWIMMINGDOESNTEVENCOOLTHEMDOWN
- I read a 500+ pages book in just 5 days, the greatest reading achievement I've ever unlocked so far. The book is "Where rainbows end" by the way. Ohh, and can I just add on that the writing style of the book is super unique because the whole stories are narrated through letters, text messages and emails. Super cool. However, the ending is just... Cliché. SPOILER ALERT: They finally got together at the age of SIXTY. I rather they just stay as friends to be really honest, despite getting frustrated over how they were so stupid to realize how much they loved each other when they were younger.
- FINALLY PASSED MY PHYSICS. Be it science physics or just pure physics, I still pass it. To whatever arrogant physics pro out there reading this point, I don't care what you think, because whatever matters most is that I passed it and I'm gonna ace it next. Lastly, I hope you don't ace your physics for O's so I can laugh at you as payback for looking down at kids like me who dropped pure physics and take up combine science instead.
I guess this is all that actually happened in July? To me, it's actually quite a great month because as you can see many things did happen. I was just trying to be funny earlier on when I said nothing much happen.
We are currently at the start of August now, and I really hope it goes as well as July. To all Singaporeans reading this, August is also a very meaningful month for us as it is the month where we celebrate the birth of Singapore. YAY to SG50! Because of SG50 we have many activities coming up for Singaporeans, and I have yet to go for any of them #sianz However, this year after than the SEA games, we have the ASEAN Para games coming up at the end of the year! I've actually signed up to be a volunteer with a few of my friends and hopefully we get chosen and that my schedule fits their training dates!! Really hope to be able to help out in such events as I'm sure that it will benefit me greatly! Oh, another thing! Because it's SG50 this year, we, Singaporeans get to enjoy a super duper long weekend! Friday, 7 August has been declared a public holiday for all (It's not the newest news around because it was declared early this year) and my family is going to the zoo! Please let us avoid the terrible huge crowd that you most probably will experience in every part of Singapore. I really hate crowded places.
Anyway, I realised that I forgot to blog about my Batam trip with my family as well as my trip to Marina Barrage and Gardens By The Bay with my friends during the June holidays! I'll just do a brief summary of them here now!
During the holidays, we went to Marina Barrage for a picnic to celebrate the June babies birthday! Super duper late shoutout to my dear friends, Sabrina, and Weiling! Shoutout to my dear friend, Patricia whose birthday just past a few weeks back! Anyway, it was my first time going there, and I was really expecting a huge crowd there since it was the during the holidays, but to my complete surprise, THERE WAS NO ONE, maybe except for a huge group of kids there for their camp activity.
Do you now get why I was so shocked at that point of time?
| Here's my wonderful G'SCOUTS clique (we got one of the kids I mentioned earlier on to take it for us HAHAHA) |
Basically, I would say that Marina Barrage is really a place for recreational activities and all, also please remember to put on plenty of sunblock when you are there because it definitely burns your skin terribly, it's really hot there. If you are planning to have a picnic there or anywhere, SAME OLD ADVICE, remember to check the weather forecast! We checked and it said that it was going to rain, but none of that shit happened and instead we got sun-kissed.
After the picnic, we went to the Gardens By The Bay, where I almost shit my pants on the way because I had such a close encounter with this big-ass lizard. It wasn't my first going to Gardens By The Bay, I went there for a school trip before, but the experience for both is definitely different. We wanted to walk the OCBC treetop walk, funny because we actually wanted to walk the HSBC treetop walk instead of having a picnic and all, but because of faint-hearted people like me who is terribly afraid of heights and lizards, we decided that it wasn't safe for me. Anyway back to the topic, we didn't walk the OCBC treetop walk at the end too because we came to a conclusion that we shouldn't pay $5 for just a short walk to see trees, so we ended up just walking around aimlessly or should I say we just sat down and chill and took really dumb pictures, and land ourselves at Leisure Park Kallang (We went there because first, I had to go to the nearest Daiso, secondly, SEA games ended not long ago, and I was praying that my eyecandy would be hanging around there, he/she wasn't sadly, I think he/she was overseas. HAHAHAH I'm alert enough to not give away his/her gender) Basically, there's nothing much to talk about GBTB because I didn't walk around much. Leisure Park Kallang was another surprise to me because just like Marina Barrage there wasn't anyone there, and mind you, we went there during the peak hour. There were a lot of retail surprisingly, I wonder how they survive when people hardly go there except when there are events held nearby.
Moving on, Batam was great but definitely not what I've expected. I thought that if it is a tourist attraction, the place would be quite nice and all, but it's kind of rundown. However, it's really not that bad because you get to get away from our hectic city life, and be more appreciative of what you have now. I didn't take many pictures because I brought my camera but not my memory card #smart so I don't think there are many things to show you all! Nevertheless, through the trip, I did get to experience many things that I've never tried before, like cheap shopping (THE THINGS IN THE SUPERMARKET ARE SUPER CHEAP and we bought lots and lots of snacks back home however the price you have to pay for cheap stuff was getting bitten by thousands and hundreds of mosquitoes, okay maybe I'm exaggerating quite a bit. It's just kind of shocking to have mosquito bites appearing on you after picking up snacks from the racks.), I tried the full body massage too, it was kind of like a traumatising experience for me cause we had to go naked, however, the massage was really great, so no complains! I also get to eat really cheap FRESH seafood by the sea!
That's basically the places I went that's worth blogging about during the holidays unless you want to hear about my plain old boring school activities during the holidays!
After this blog, I'll be off to study my ass off and hopefully, I'll be back to talk about my zoo trip with the fam this upcoming week! By the way, side note, I'm not sure I've used barbaric words like "ass" and all, but if I haven't I just want to say that from now on, I'll be who I am and type like how I usually speak rather than acting all demure, no vulgarities around here though. It's MY blog you are reading anyway, and maybe through such barbaric expressions you may be able to understand me better, who knows? Just like what I've mentioned in my previous post, I'm still in the midst of working my way round with words to better express myself!
That's all for now, see you all soon! ;)
