It's A Wrap!

Just not long ago, I updated about Campfire 2015, and today, I'm going to talk about my last training with my fellow scouts!

February 2012 - April 2015

First, allow me to talk about my journey as a scout.

When I first entered Zhonghua, joining scouts wasn't in my list AT ALL. I only joined when my friend told me that she was going to join, but in the end she went for basketball instead. So I entered Scouts alone, without knowing anyone.

When I was in Sec 1, I dreaded scouts training. Whenever I receive messages from my senior for the upcoming trainings, I would go "Argh, I NEED A MC FOR TOMORROW!!!"

This was my first training camp with the current sec 4s.
The thing about my batch is that, we get to experience things either the last or the first. So yeah, that's what makes my batch unforgettable. We were the first and last batch to actually roll in the muddy field, we were the last batch to experience harsh corporal punishments as well as the first batch that had to manage the troop without the help of many.

In all, we are legendary guys, we are.

Next, as I moved on the Secondary 2, my worst year out of my 15 years, though things were hard, but scouts was ALWAYS there for me.

At the start of the year, or should I say during the end of 2012, all of us were preparing hard for the upcoming campfire, Viva La Fiesta. People were fully utilised for skit, dance, structure, souvenirs and many more. For me, I was with the usual few, Sabrina, Weiling, Laura, Celine and Patricia, preparing for dance. Gotta admit, I miss those times when we were so carefree in the dance studio as well as the days we spent having fun with our one and only standing Girl Guide senior, Gekting! There was like nothing to worry about except for the pressure Rick Sir constantly gave us through the deadlines for dance.

Soon, the current Sec 3s came in. We are no longer the youngest! At first they were a problematic bunch, really. My batch and their batch didn't start off with a good note, luckily we ended with one HAHAHAHAHA.

After they came in, we had the usual activities, Orientation, Founder's Day, Jobweek and annual camps. Gotta say, the annual camps are the most memorable ones. I still remember how upset my batch and I were when we had our first training camp with them. WE WERE ALL SUPER FRUSTRATED. Then during the first night, Rick Sir probably knew we needed a lot of assistance so he sat down with all of us, and talked to us. How memorable, oh gosh. Then the most MEMORABLE thing happened. Vietnam trip 2013! Through this trip, it definitely brought us all a lot closer, and that's how my batch grew closer with one another. I believe, without this trip, everything would be really different now.

Moving on, it's 2014 already. When I became sec 3, and we all had to take over. During the last training with the sec 4s, I never thought that exactly one year later, I would be like them. Overall, the sec 4s were a great bunch, and I can't thank them enough for teaching us valuable lessons. After the sec 4 seniors stepped down, we were sort of lost? We had no one to guide us, and we could only depend on ourselves as well as the teachers and of course, to trust our juniors to cooperate with us. Gotta say this year was the best cause I met this really cute bunch of new juniors, the current sec 2s.

My very own donut gang! My sometimes-angel-but-most-of-the-time-devil Sec 2s! Had a really fail talk with them during the last training cause I was so busy crying when they sat down in front of me. This batch when the first came in, was also another problematic one. Most had attitude problem but as time went pass, they grew! Into better humans! So proud of them! To be honest, all the new juniors usually come in with weird attitude problems but as time goes by, they all eventually just mature, so I guess, it's all about the timing huh? Gonna miss this bunch of sec 2s the most!

Anyway back to my batch, year 2014 was memorable for us because we were the strongest. We held in there whenever we felt like giving up. Though we had a lot of fights, we usually just patch back quickly after a few days. Many things happened between us, one event that i cannot forget was the training on 23 August, Laura's birthday as well as the day when I went for EXO's concert. What a teary training.

2014 was indeed happening, but then it had to make way fro 2015 to come. So 2015 came eventually and unknowingly, we were sec 4s already. WHAT.

The new sec 1s came in again, though they are cute but I still like my current sec 2s the best. Sec 1s, a naughty but willing to work hard bunch! Hopefully, they will grow and mature fast!

That's it! This is my short description about my journey as a scouts for these 4 years! There are so many things more to talk about, but if I were to talk about everything in detail, it would take too long! So I suppose, all this will suffice.

Thank you Lord Baden Powell for founding scouts, allowing my friends and I to experience something so extraordinary. Also, I thank want to thank the teachers for their guidance and constant support to our batch. To the field, my second home, SAYONARA! To my juniors, like younger siblings I never had, work hard and good luck in your future endeavours!

Lastly, thank you my friends, my second family.

"The obstacles of life is meant to make us better, not bitter."
Our journey has finally ended, this ride wasn't a smooth sailing one but we all held on. Despite our constant fights, deep down we all know that we still care for each other! Soon as we graduate, we are all going to face another phase in life, but fret not because we are scouts and we stand by each other! We are all going to keep in contact for a VERY VERY VERY LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME! We definitely are because that's what you all promised me! Will definitely miss scouts training with you guys and most importantly the times we spent together as one. It's finally a wrap for us, which also serves as a reminder for us to work hard for our upcoming national exam! You guys will always be there, somewhere deep in my heart, unforgettable because we make the BEST team out there. Bye my brothers and sisters! Till next time when we come together as one again!

Last training: 10 April 2015.
